Gomuti \Go*mu"ti\, n. [Malayan gumuti.]
A black, fibrous substance resembling horsehair, obtained
from the leafstalks of two kinds of palms, {Metroxylon Sagu},
and {Arenga saccharifera}, of the Indian islands. It is used
for making cordage. Called also {ejoo}.
